About The Position

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is seeking a full-time MedValet Shuttle Wheelchair Driver for the Quad Cities market. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides emergency and scheduled ambulance and patient transport services. As a MedValet driver, you will ensure patients receive compassionate, safe, and efficient transfers between healthcare facilities. This role involves variable shifts and hours, including alternating weekends, with the understanding that shifts may extend beyond scheduled end times due to transport assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Valid Illinois Driver’s license required
• Ability to comply with federal and state legal regulations and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients during transportation
• Assist the patient in and out of the shuttle vehicle with use of wheelchair
• Comfort patients and families by offering support and encouragement, respecting procedure schedules, and demonstrating care and cultural sensitivity
• Assist facility staff with escorting both the patient and belongings to and from the vehicle
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Present and promote a positive company image
