About The Position

Shermco Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician to install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA equipment. This role involves performing routine and emergency maintenance, providing technical expertise for troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs, testing, and installations of power and control systems. The position also includes mechanical and electrical installations, working with various types of conduit, circuits, cabling, and instrumentation, as well as servicing equipment, MCCs, and panelboards.

Requirements

  • Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and controls.
  • Self motivated individual – able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.
  • Hand and power tool capabilities.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians.
  • Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods and be comfortable and effective doing so directly to customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Should be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam when required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
  • If applying for position, must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit).
  • Must be willing to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement.
