About The Position

Acts Fleet Maintenance Services is hiring a Medium & Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel vehicles and heavy equipment. The technician helps keep trucks and equipment safe, reliable, and ready for work while providing attentive customer service. Accurate repairs support drivers and fleet customers in returning to work with dependable vehicles and equipment. The role involves work on heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and Caterpillar equipment, and is performed in person.

Requirements

Mechanical knowledge and experience in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, heavy truck repair, automotive repair, vehicle systems, or vehicle maintenance.
Ability to use hand and power tools and perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
Customer service skills and a commitment to safe, dependable work.

Nice To Haves

Mechanic, service technician, electrical, or dealership experience.
Experience with automotive diagnostics and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
Familiarity with transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, alignment, and automotive electrical system repair.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, suspension, shocks and struts, HVAC, hydraulics, and automotive electrical systems.
Perform vehicle maintenance, tire service, alignment, brake repair, and other mechanical repairs on heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery.
Maintain and repair industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and Caterpillar equipment.
Support equipment maintenance and heavy equipment operation as needed.
Use schematics, hand tools, and power tools for diagnostics, assembly, fabrication, welding, and soldering.
Complete equipment repair and maintenance tasks safely, including required heavy lifting.
Provide attentive customer service and perform dependable repairs.
