Medium Duty Truck Technician
About The Position
Way Scarff Ford & Isuzu is seeking a Medium Duty Truck Technician for their Auburn, WA location. This role is ideal for experienced technicians or motivated individuals looking to grow their skills in a supportive environment with ongoing training and modern equipment. Technicians will work on a variety of medium-duty trucks from brands like Ford, Isuzu, International, and Hino, performing maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on commercial and fleet vehicles. There may also be opportunities to work with a Mobile Service Van supporting commercial fleet customers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of truck repair experience
- Experience with basic electrical diagnosis and repair
- Experience with chassis and suspension diagnosis and repair
- Experience with vehicle inspections and quality control
- Experience with computer-based diagnostics and scan tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Personal hand tools are required
- Reliable transportation is mandatory
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a diverse mix of commercial and fleet vehicles.
- Work on medium-duty trucks including Ford, Isuzu, International, and Hino.
- Conduct basic electrical diagnosis and repair.
- Perform chassis and suspension diagnosis and repair.
- Execute vehicle inspections and quality control checks.
- Utilize computer-based diagnostics and scan tools.
- Potentially perform mobile repair and maintenance for commercial fleet customers.
