The Department of Medicine and Primary Care at the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM) is seeking a dynamic and experienced physician educator and leader to serve as founding faculty in Medicine and Primary Care. This full-time position is open to candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor. Academic rank to be determined by The Chicago School & IllinoisCOM academic rank policy. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator, accomplished clinician, and innovative leader with expertise in Internal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the curriculum, support faculty recruitment and development, and foster a collaborative, student-focused environment that aligns with the mission and values of the IllinoisCOM and The Chicago School. The founding faculty will lead curriculum development and innovation, clinical partnerships, research initiatives, and community engagement to ensure the IllinoisCOM’s program trains physicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that integrates both physical and mental health.
