About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Primary Care Physicians to provide onsite primary care services to eligible beneficiaries of the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System located at 400 Fort Hill Avenue Canandaigua, NY 14424. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm with no call, weekends or holidays. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory
  • Active NPI report
  • Active DEA license
  • Maintain an active AHA BLS
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation
  • No sponsorship available
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to adult VA patients, including acute, chronic, and preventive care
  • Perform medical histories, physical exams, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within scope of Family or Internal Medicine
  • Provide health promotion and disease prevention services
  • Order, review, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Communicate test results to patients within VA‑mandated timeframes
  • Prescribe, adjust, and manage medications in accordance with VA policies
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify care plans as needed
  • Complete all clinical documentation in CPRS (VA electronic health record) by end of shift
  • Close patient encounters timely and accurately
  • Comply with VA, Joint Commission, and national clinical standards
  • Follow VA patient safety, infection control, and privacy requirements
  • Coordinate care with VA clinical teams (RN, LPN, MSA support staff provided)
  • Attend required staff meetings and quality improvement activities
  • Provide discharge instructions and care coordination when applicable
