About The Position

The Medication Technician @ First Colonial Inn administers resident medication or assists residents with self-administration of medication and coordinates treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. This position offers a $2000 Sign-on Bonus, paid out 1/2 at 90 days and 1/2 at 6 months. The schedule is Part Time, 2p-10p, as a Medication Aide / Resident Assistant (combo). The base rate is $18.45 - $19.25/hr with an Evening Shift Differential of +$1.50/hr.

Requirements

Current Medication Technician, Medication Aide, or equivalent state-approved certification (required)
Must also have current CNA, NA, PCA certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Ability to safely administer medications according to physician orders and community policies
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as assigned in accordance with physician orders and company policies
Observe residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition and report concerns appropriately
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
Provide compassionate, person-centered care that promotes resident dignity and independence
Support resident wellness and safety initiatives
Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other team members to ensure exceptional resident care
