Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare setting preferred

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report any concerns to healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Assist residents with medication reminders and ensure timely medication administration
Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to coordinate resident care plans
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications
Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
