About The Position

By coordinating with providers, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with medication-related processes, you'll contribute to a safe, organized, and client-centered environment where recovery can thrive. Job Summary The Medication Technician manages and distributes monitored medications, serving as the first point of contact for medication-related questions from patients, the treatment team, and community partners. The Medication Technician coordinates closely with prescribers, pharmacy staff, and the broader treatment team to ensure patients receive the correct medication on schedule, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting team members.

Requirements

  • CPR certification (Post hire as needed)

Nice To Haves

  • One year of medical experience working with medications
  • Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in state of practice

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the medication distribution system, triaging questions or concerns from patients, the treatment team, or community partners within their scope of practice
  • Coordinates with the treatment team, including prescribers and pharmacy, to ensure correct medications are delivered to the correct patient at the correct time
  • Coordinates with the treatment team to ensure required paperwork and medical records are completed and submitted
  • Coordinates with the treatment and office support teams to communicate with organizations supporting patient care
  • Documents non-billable clinical events in the electronic medical record
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to other treatment team employees
  • Demonstrates flexibility when temporarily assigned to other clinics; coordinates with other technicians to ensure coverage during absences
