About The Position

Richland Square is seeking Certified Medication Technicians to administer medications and provide resident care oversight in a Memory Care Community. This full-time position is on the third shift and requires availability to work every other weekend. Team members can use Tapcheck, a mobile app that provides access to earned wages before payday.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Aide course.
Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing certification required.
Ability to communicate adequately in writing and orally, and effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
Must be available to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Promote and protect residents’ rights and treat residents with dignity and respect.
Attend in-service and education programs and complete continuing education required by state regulations.
Remain calm under stressful conditions.
Maintain confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the community dress code.
Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
Report changes in residents’ conditions to a supervisor as soon as possible.
Complete work schedules and assigned tasks according to community policies and procedures.
Operate equipment safely and use only equipment for which training has been provided.
Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures.
Report safety violations.
