Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, hospital, or similar healthcare setting required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, including rotating weekends.
• Ability to meet applicable background screening, drug screening, and certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Current Medication Technician certification preferred for certified Med Tech applicants.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to resident safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer, document, and store medications according to physician orders, established procedures, and applicable state regulations.
• If hired as a Med Tech in Training, work alongside experienced team members and supervisors to develop medication administration skills and complete certification requirements.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals, as needed.
• Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, or potential medication side effects and promptly report concerns.
• Complete medication records and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members to provide safe, compassionate, person-centered care.
