About The Position
The Medication Technician (Med Tech) supports resident care by assisting with activities of daily living and administering medications in accordance with each resident’s care plan and physician orders. Gables of Green is seeking compassionate and dedicated Medication Technicians to join their growing team. Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with resident mobility
- Ability to complete accurate documentation
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification
- 2+ years of experience in long-term care or healthcare
- Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments per care plans and licensed provider orders
- Accurately document medication administration and treatments
- Communicate with pharmacy regarding refills, changes, and discrepancies
- Support residents with daily living activities (mobility, transfers, personal care)
- Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
- Assist with household tasks (meal prep, cleaning, laundry)
- Complete incident reporting and narcotic counts per policy
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment
- Collaborate with team members and participate in care planning
