We’re seeking a Medication Technician who is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about delivering high-quality care to individuals with diverse needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Active Medication Technician Certification from an approved training program
In good standing with the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry
Successful completion of state-approved competency exam
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year experience in pediatric, long-term care, or ICF/I/DD setting
Experience with electronic medical documentation systems
Current certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, BLS (Adult & Pediatric)
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Prepare and administer medications accurately and in a timely manner
Document all medications administered in the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
Complete medication check-offs during shift changes with incoming staff
Identify and report discrepancies in medications or documentation
Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Communicate with physicians, dentists, and clinical staff regarding resident needs and follow-up care
Assist nursing staff with feeding equipment and prescribed formulas
Support routine health monitoring, including weights (monthly) and heights (quarterly)
Assist with inventory, ordering, and storage of medical supplies
Complete assigned resident monthly summaries
Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership
