About The Position
Spring Arbor of Anderson is looking for compassionate, dependable Medication Assistants to join our team! If you enjoy caring for seniors, working as part of a supportive team, and making a difference in the lives of others, we want to meet you. As a Medication Assistant, you’ll provide hands-on support and assistance with medication and daily care while helping create a positive, welcoming environment for our residents.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be in good standing with the applicable state licensing/certifying agency, if applicable.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background screening.
- Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with senior adults is highly preferred.
- CNA/NA certification or licensure may be required depending on state regulations.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required by state regulations.
- Previous experience with electronic/computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with medications in accordance with state guidelines.
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, positioning, and incontinence care.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents.
- Communicate closely with Resident Services associates to ensure consistent, quality care.
- Participate in and assist with resident activities.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow associates.
- Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate customer service.
- Complete resident documentation and other duties as assigned.
