About The Position

Join our team and make a difference in the lives of seniors every day! We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Medication Technician to safely administer medications and provide quality care to residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community.

Requirements

Successful completion of a state-approved Medication Technician/Medication Aide certification program.
Ability to accurately administer medications and maintain documentation.
Strong communication and resident-service skills.
Minimum age of 18 years.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a Medication Technician, Med Aide, or Certified Medication Aide.
Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living.
Knowledge of dementia and related cognitive conditions.

Responsibilities

Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with state regulations and physician orders.
Complete medication administration records (MARs) and required documentation promptly and accurately.
Observe residents and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing leadership.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including: Personal hygiene and grooming, Dressing and bathing, Mobility and transfers, Incontinence care, Dining assistance
Maintain security and accountability of medication carts, keys, and controlled substances.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
Encourage resident participation in social and recreational activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures.
Participate in required training and team meetings.
