Full-Time Medication Technician
About The Position
Spring Arbor of Anderson is seeking a Medication Assistant to support Assisted Living residents with medication administration and daily care, under the guidance of the Resident Care Director. This role involves approaching residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner, assisting residents with medications as allowed by State guidelines, and helping with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care. The Medication Assistant will also communicate closely with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care and participate in resident activities, delivering friendly and courteous service with resident satisfaction as a top priority.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Current Medication Training certification
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening
- Willingness to comply with our drug-free workplace policy
Nice To Haves
- CNA or NA license/certification, in good standing (state-dependent)
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by your state)
- Experience with computerized resident documentation systems
Responsibilities
- Approach every encounter with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented way
- Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines
- Help residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care
- Communicate closely with the Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care
