In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting our residents' well-being by safely preparing and administering medications with care and precision.
Requirements
- Completion of a State-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program (registration with the State registry required)
- Completion of a State-approved Medication Aide Course (and applicable continuing education, as required)
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Basic math skills and accurate documentation ability
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in senior care or assisted living is a plus
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, administer, and chart oral, topical, and suppository medications
- Ensure all medications are administered as prescribed, following proper protocols
- Verify medication information against orders and labels for accuracy
- Clearly identify residents before administering medications
- Maintain proper documentation of medications and treatments provided
