Requirements

  • Current Medication Technician (Med Tech) certification required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and documentation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.
  • Ability to provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in personal care, assisted living, senior living, or a similar healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents accurately and according to physician orders and established medication administration procedures.
  • Document medication administration accurately and timely in resident records.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse reactions, and promptly report concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Maintain appropriate medication storage, security, and inventory.
  • Assist with medication ordering, receiving, and organization as assigned.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other personal care needs.
  • Provide compassionate assistance while promoting resident dignity, independence, privacy, and choice.
  • Observe residents and promptly communicate changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial condition.
  • Maintain appropriate supplies and notify leadership when additional equipment or supplies are needed.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and resident care policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and other members of the care team.
  • Work independently while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Perform additional resident care duties as assigned by leadership.
