About The Position

Ginger Cove is a premier life-care retirement community in Annapolis known for exceptional care, a supportive team environment, and a commitment to helping residents live with dignity, independence, and purpose. We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Medication Technicians (CNA II Required) to join our Assisted Living team. If you're a compassionate caregiver who enjoys providing hands-on resident care while utilizing your medication administration skills, we'd love to have you on our team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Current certification as Medication Technician in the state of Maryland.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant-II in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum two years’ experience as Medication Technician.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to document care given.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified time-frame.
  • Must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and tact in dealing with others.

Nice To Haves

  • geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, administer, and document medications.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to licensed nursing staff.
  • Support residents with hydration, nutrition, and overall comfort.
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, and restorative care programs.
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and resident documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, medication safety, and resident care protocols.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
  • Participate in required in-service education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
