About The Position

Columbia Cottage in Palmyra, PA is looking to hire experienced Medication Technicians/ Caregivers to help improve the quality of life for the residents in our care. This position offers flexible schedules and starts at a competitive wage of $19.00/hour. We provide amazing benefits and perks for both full and part-time positions on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. In addition, we match 20% of the first 6% contributed for 401(k). Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Medication Technician certification required
Diabetes training required

Nice To Haves

CPR/ First Aid preferred

Responsibilities

Prepares medications for Residents
Assists Residents in taking medications, as per physician order
Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to Residents.
Obtains blood sugars, vital signs and other bio measurements as ordered
Motivates, encourages and provides positive feedback to the Residents when assisting with medications
Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the Resident with medications
Provides hands-on care to Residents
