About The Position
This is a Part Time position with AM & PM shifts. The Medication Tech is responsible for the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by physician, including appropriate documentation of medication and treatment administrations, documentation of events and incidents, and summary documentation in resident records. The role also involves providing direct care and service to residents as needed and communicating appropriately with residents, family members, physician, support staff, and ancillary care providers.
Requirements
- Must have satisfactorily completed training in medications – including administration and documentation.
- Must be able to demonstrate skill and knowledge of medication identification, use, purpose, adverse effect, and contra-indications.
- Must maintain current certification or licensure.
