About The Position
Fair Oaks Estates is seeking a Medication Technician to join their team. This role involves dispensing medications to residents in an Assisted Living community and overseeing the care and medication needs of the Memory Care Wing. The community is a 63-bedroom facility offering Assisted Living and Memory Care for older adults with dementia, located on four acres in Carmichael, California. They emphasize specialized care plans tailored to individual resident needs, working collaboratively with families, doctors, and support groups to balance care with independence. Requirements
- Previous Medication Technician experience required.
- Previous experience as a Med Tech or Certified Nursing Assistant
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures
- Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and multitask

- Previous supervisor or management experience
Responsibilities
- Communicating with resident care director on resident changes, medication updates, etc.
- Ensure Department is Title XXII compliant at all times
- Following all medication guidelines that were given in medication training
- Pull, pour, assist residents with medications
- Ensure resident care is being done per assessment and documenting
- Assist with med-room tasks
- Assist and manage resident emergencies
- Help on the floor as a caregiver when necessary
