About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Medication Tech – Team Leader to support residents while guiding caregiving staff to provide exceptional daily care and support. Position Summary Medication Tech is responsible for providing resident-centered services including assistance with personal care, medications, meals, and recreational activities. In this leadership role, you will also help oversee the daily functions of resident assistants, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with facility policies, regulations, and each resident’s individualized support plan. This role plays an important part in promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents while maintaining a supportive and collaborative care environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in personal care, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with caregiving staff and interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Valley View

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care including assistance with personal hygiene, medications, meals, and daily living activities
  • Support residents in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of resident assistants in accordance with facility policies and regulations
  • Review resident support plans to maintain awareness of care needs and preferences
  • Ensure caregiving staff follow established policies and procedures
  • Meet regularly with assigned caregiving staff and support personnel to coordinate care and address concerns
  • Promote a culture that supports dignity, privacy, independence, and resident choice
  • Assist with facility surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies
  • Complete accident and incident reports as required
  • Support communication between caregiving staff and leadership regarding resident needs and concerns
  • Perform additional duties related to resident care and team leadership as assigned
