About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Medication Partner to join our team at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This part-time role focuses on providing empathetic care and ensuring the proper administration of medication to residents. We are looking for individuals who are "Advocates of Empathy," "Generous Gift Givers," "đź’Ż," and "Engaged Eggheads." This position involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, maintaining medication carts, and ensuring proper recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a positive and energetic attitude, computer skills, and the physical ability to perform the job duties.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Appropriately certified per state guidelines and certification is active and in good standing.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Professional in appearance and conduct.
- Mature interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
- Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper administration of medication.
- Maintain medication carts and proper recordkeeping.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
- Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
