About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Medication Partner for The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a PRN (as needed) position with a starting wage of $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. The Medication Partner is expected to be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connection with residents, a "Generous Gift Giver" by being present and reliable, "đź’Ż" by creating a positive environment, and an "Engaged Egghead" by being curious and invested in their development. Key responsibilities include ensuring the proper administration of medication, maintaining medication carts, proper recordkeeping, and proactively assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Appropriately certified per state guidelines and certification is active and in good standing.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Professional in appearance and conduct.
- Mature interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
- Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper administration of medication.
- Maintain medication carts and proper recordkeeping.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
