Requirements

  • State of NH MNA license.
  • One year of long-term care preferred.
  • Visual and aural acuity to detect changes in conditions of residents and to read and recognize written medication orders and MAR's.
  • Must be clean and professional at all times and follow the dress code, which prohibits tattoos and excessive jewelry.
  • A valid NH Drivers license, criminal background check and drug testing is required.

Responsibilities

  • Follows physician orders and administers regularly scheduled oral, topical, suppository, otic, nasal and ocular medications to Assisted Living Residents.
  • Consults with the Nurse Manager to assess a resident who requests a "prn" (as needed) medication.
  • Reports observations regarding changes in resident's status
  • Maintains the medication cabinets/drawers and disposal of outdated and discontinued medications.
  • Schedules re-fills
