Medication History Pharmacy Technician, Baptist Medical Center
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Medication History Pharmacy Technician to join their team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown and South. This is a full-time position involving three twelve-hour shifts per week. The role is clinical and patient-facing, operating within the Emergency Department. The technician will interview patients to gather and document home medication history information, working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills are essential due to direct patient interaction and the use of Telepharmacy technology. Basic medication knowledge is required. The candidate must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida with at least one year of experience. All professional communications and final checks will be approved by a Pharmacist.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician Experience
- High School Diploma Required
- Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy Required
- Driver's License Required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of medications is required
- Must be able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) Preferred
