About The Position

Arbor Place is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Assistant to support medication services within our residential treatment programs. This position is responsible for leading morning and afternoon medication passes, ensuring safe and accurate medication administration, and maintaining compliance with all policies and regulations. This role is essential to supporting client care and maintaining consistent, high-quality medication services across residential programs.

Requirements

  • CBRF Certification – Medication Administration (required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow policies and maintain compliance
  • Effective communication and teamwork
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Professional boundaries and ethical decision-making

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health or residential treatment
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (InSync preferred)
  • CMA certification or similar background

Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete morning and afternoon medication passes for residential clients
  • Administer medications in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Accurately document all medications in the MAR system
  • Monitor clients during medication administration and report concerns
  • Coordinate medication schedules across residential programs
  • Follow up on missed or refused doses
  • Assist with PRN medications as appropriate
  • Enter and update medication orders in the MAR
  • Support medication reconciliation for new admissions
  • Track medication changes, refills, and discontinuations
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
  • Communicate with pharmacies regarding refills and medication needs
  • Track incoming medications and resolve delays
  • Assist with prior authorizations and clarifications
  • Pick up medications from local pharmacies as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant medication rooms
  • Monitor inventory and expiration dates
  • Participate in controlled substance counts
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medications
  • Assist staff with medication-related tasks
  • Communicate updates to residential and clinical teams
  • Complete and document vital signs, withdrawal scores, and other assessments
  • Conduct urine drug screens (UAs) as needed
  • Transport clients as needed
  • Support overall residential operations as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
