About The Position
This role is responsible for renewing authorizations and obtaining new authorizations for commercially insured patients. The Medication Assistance Coordinator will communicate with pharmaceutical companies to obtain approvals, process paperwork, and maintain computerized patient/program records. Additionally, this role will reconcile Medicaid and third-party insurance payments.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Medical insurance authorization experience.
Nice To Haves
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy preferred.
