We offer a full continuum of services—including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care—designed to support residents at every stage of aging. Shifts Available: 2nd shift (3p-11p), Monday-Friday The Medication Aide provides medication administration for residents in assigned area in a timely manner following all policies and procedures of the Medication Administration guidelines and under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with physician’s orders, company and industry standards and federal and state regulations. Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Successfully completed the state approved training program including competency evaluation and facility orientation program.
- Successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has current certification with no allegations of abuse or neglect and current in required in-services.
- Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three (3) months work experience in basic nursing procedures for nursing assistants preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication as directed in the Medication Administration policies and procedures except injections, medication given by g-tube, j-tube or nasogastic tubes and IV medications.
