About The Position

Astoria Senior Living, an Agemark Senior Living community, is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Medication Aides in Omaha, NE. Requirements

Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to work with older adults.
Dependability and reliability.
Comfort in communicating with residents, families, nurses, and team members.
Attention to detail, especially regarding medications and documentation.
Basic computer skills for medication tracking and resident documentation.
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
Team player attitude.

Responsibilities

Safely and accurately administer medications according to physician orders and resident care plans.
Learn resident routines, preferences, personalities, and what makes them smile.
Make a positive impact by engaging with residents and improving their day.
Notice changes in resident condition, side effects, or concerns and communicate them promptly to the nursing team.
Support residents with daily activities while encouraging independence and protecting their dignity.
Stay on top of medication records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Collaborate with team members to provide the best resident experience.
Contribute to a positive work environment where residents feel at home and team members enjoy working.
