About The Position
The Kensington in Hastings, an Agemark Senior Living community, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Aide to join their team on an on-call basis. This role offers flexibility for individuals looking to perform meaningful work and positively impact the lives of seniors. The Medication Aide will be responsible for safely administering medications, documenting care, observing residents, assisting with daily living activities, and collaborating with the care team to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Active Medication Aide certification that meets Nebraska requirements.
- Compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working with older adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for medication tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Safely administer medications according to physician orders and resident care plans.
- Accurately document medication administration and maintain required records.
- Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and promptly report them to nursing staff.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence.
- Provide compassionate, attentive support to residents throughout your shift.
- Work closely with the care team to provide consistent, quality care.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for residents.
