About The Position
At Spring Arbor of Winchester, we are seeking dedicated Medication Aides (RMA/Med Techs) who are passionate about caring for others and want to be part of a supportive team. This role is crucial in creating meaningful moments for residents every day, from assisting with medication to providing a friendly smile. We offer available shifts for Full-Time 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and PRN for all shifts.
Requirements
- Current Virginia Medication Aide / Medication Technician Certification
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and resident-focused attitude
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with self-administration of medications according to Virginia regulations
- Monitoring and documenting resident care accurately
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal care
- Building meaningful relationships with residents and families
- Communicating effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
- Supporting resident activities and engagement
- Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment
- Delivering exceptional customer service and resident-centered care
