Requirements

Current Virginia Medication Aide / Medication Technician Certification
Minimum age of 18 years
Ability to pass a criminal background screening
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate and resident-focused attitude

Nice To Haves

Previous Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living experience
CNA certification
CPR and First Aid Certification
Experience with electronic resident documentation systems
One year or more of caregiving or medication administration experience

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with self-administration of medications according to Virginia regulations
Monitoring and documenting resident care accurately
Assisting residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and personal care
Building meaningful relationships with residents and families
Communicating effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
Supporting resident activities and engagement
Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment
Delivering exceptional customer service and resident-centered care
