About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide Level 1 to join their team at Northeast Correctional Center in Bowling Green, Missouri. This role involves administering medications as prescribed under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing or their designee. The Medication Aide will also be responsible for documenting the effectiveness of medications and any observed adverse actions or side effects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation.
- Must maintain active CPR/AED certification.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide.
- Insulin certification preferred.
- Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years).
- If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
