About The Position

As a Medical Writer within Avalere Health’s Medical capability, you will deliver high-quality content—including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slides, and other materials—in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. The role requires quickly understanding and synthesizing complex information from unfamiliar therapy areas to develop impactful materials within strict deadlines and scope.

You will join the Scientific Services team and collaborate with clients to interpret data, identify insights, and work with external experts to develop engaging strategies and solutions intended to improve patients’ lives. Requirements

• BSc or higher degree in the life sciences.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in internet and PubMed searches.

Nice To Haves

• A master’s degree or PhD is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and revise high-quality, original editorial content across project types such as manuscripts, posters, abstracts, and slide decks.
• Assess projects to identify areas requiring team collaboration, such as creative design or editorial support, and obtain help as needed.
• Liaise professionally and confidently with clients, authors, speakers, and colleagues, while staying on top of projects.
• Manage multiple activities, project types, and deadlines efficiently.
• Work with internal account teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
