About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver to operate a 26-foot box truck across the Hartford, CT area. The role involves collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This is a full-time, permanent position with consistent work hours, Monday to Friday, 1st Shift (5 AM to 3 PM). The company is a healthcare service provider focused on safety systems and regulated waste collections for hospitals and other healthcare industry customers, aiming to reduce needlestick injuries, improve infection control, and minimize environmental impact.

Requirements

Minimum 2 YEARS Delivery experience within a 26 foot box truck
VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
Proven longevity in past employment

Responsibilities

Operating 26 ft box truck in a safe manner
Safely collect, deliver and store medical waste containers at customer locations
Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!
