This role involves performing professional administrative work in a health care setting, including medical scribe/healthcare documentation specialist experience and providing Spanish/English transcription of medical documentation. The position requires meeting and maintaining federal and state regulatory guidelines, communicating effectively with medical staff, maintaining electronic medical health care records, assisting in daily MAR audits, compiling daily medical lists, assisting in the medical intake process, and maintaining confidentiality of health care records in keeping with HIPAA and other protocols. The role also involves adhering to scheduled hours, being available for on-call scheduling, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Employees are expected to know, understand, and apply positive behavior management techniques, recognize signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and sexually provocative behavior, and implement professional response, reporting, and documenting procedures. Showing appreciation and affection toward children in a compassionate and professional manner is also a key aspect of the role. Participation in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations is required, as is the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily work using sound judgment. Implementing safety protocols, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to professional and ethical standards of conduct are essential. The role ensures all referrals and orders initiated by the Certified Nurse Practitioner are completed and specialty appointments are scheduled. It also involves attending and participating in on-site medical appointments with the Certified Nurse Practitioner and providing assistance with translation of medical history and symptoms. The Medical Transcriptionist will transcribe all written documentation for the Certified Nurse Practitioner into applicable electronic medical record platforms. Other responsibilities include performing administrative duties, administering and executing assigned medical services, completing accurate documentation, and meeting all predetermined deadlines.
