About The Position

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic is looking for a per diem Medical Technologist. This role involves training and certifying clinical staff on POCT devices, maintaining quality control, documentation, and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission standards. The Medical Technologist will also oversee instrument performance, troubleshooting, and vendor relations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology
  • 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience, POCT experience preferred
  • Master’s or doctorate in chemistry, biology, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, allied health, clinical laboratory sciences or an appropriately related field (preferred)
  • Possess or be eligible for Technologist certification (BB, C, CG, CT, H, HTL, MLS, M, MB) by ASCP
  • With Bachelor's; MT (ASCP) certification or eligible.
  • Certified as MT (HEW)
  • Certified as MT (AMT)

Nice To Haves

  • ASCP certification preferred
  • POCT experience preferred
