About The Position
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Medical Technologist, for our Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from a accredited college/university and successful completion of NAACLS accredited MT program or MLT certification program.
- MT-ASCP or equivalent level certification offered by one of the professional societies. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.
- Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position

Responsibilities
- Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
- Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures
- Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
