About The Position
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing. Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits. Requires a bachelor's degree and must be a certified medical technologist. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience required with at least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
- ASCP or AMT certification required.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Certified medical technologist required.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with Beckman Hematology, ACL Top Coag, BB gel testing, Beckman Chemistry analyzers with DXA automation.
- Cerner experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
- Prepare samples and analyze test results for accuracy.
