About The Position

The Medical Technologist accurately and promptly performs a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This role requires adherence to strict quality control procedures, a commitment to patient safety, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely results.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors or equivalent in Laboratory Sciences, including completion of one-year training in an approved school of medical technology and eligible for registration with ASCP required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and medical terminology

Nice To Haves

Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS by the ASCP) preferred.
One or more years’ experience working as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory setting that includes the performance of high complexity testing.
Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records
