About The Position

In this highly technical, fast-paced, and challenging position, the Medical Technologist collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide timely and accurate laboratory results for patients. The position is part time, with morning or evening hours and work possible on all days of the week.

Methodist Southwest Medical Center is a 314-bed, full-service acute care teaching hospital serving communities in southwestern Dallas County. It offers a range of specialized services and facilities, including a Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The hospital strives to maintain a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education that provides comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• For individuals educated outside the United States, an equivalency statement from a business dedicated to this service showing equivalence to the stated education requirements.
• Certification/registration or certification/registry eligibility as a Medical Technologist.
• ASCP certifications received after January 2004 and AMT certifications received after January 2006 must be kept current through continuing education as required by the respective associations.
• Certified Medical Technologist work experience.
