About The Position
The Medical Technologist analyzes and reports lab values as part of the interdisciplinary care of our patients. Diagnostic procedures performed may include chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis and phlebotomy.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medical Technology, CLS or Science
- 1 year Clinical Laboratory MLT (ASCP), CLS or Equivalent certification
- Med. Tech license in state of practice
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight over technical lab operations
- Reviews patient results as well as related records such as quality control and instrument correlations
- Analyzes and reports all lab tests requested on patients
