About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join their team at the Swedish Cherry Hill Hospital in Seattle, WA. The role involves performing a variety of technical procedures to ensure accurate and timely patient care. The work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
ASCP or AMT certification
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
