The Medical Technologist will perform, evaluate, and monitor laboratory tests as authorized within established protocols in a specialized Andrology Lab setting. This role involves monitoring workflow, evaluating results for clinical significance and validity, and performing instrument calibration and maintenance. The technologist will also be responsible for quality control and assurance, ensuring accurate billing information, and collecting specimens. Additionally, this position provides training and technical assistance to other lab staff and students, assists in improving laboratory procedures, and ensures compliance with accrediting agency standards and CLIA Regulatory requirements. The role requires the ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
