About The Position

Performs a broad range of diagnostic laboratory and medical imaging services to support the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in an outpatient clinical setting. This position is responsible for performing moderately complex laboratory testing, producing high-quality diagnostic radiographs, operating and maintaining laboratory and imaging equipment, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, the incumbent supports daily clinic operations through inventory management, purchasing, equipment maintenance, quality assurance, and administrative functions. The position requires excellent technical skills, sound clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing in the areas of hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of patient specimens, including blood, urine, and other body fluids.
  • Perform manual and automated laboratory testing, including microscopic examinations and blood cell counts, as appropriate.
  • Review, interpret, and verify laboratory test results prior to reporting.
  • Perform calibration, quality control, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory analyzers and testing systems to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Operate digital radiographic equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Accurately position patients and apply appropriate radiation safety practices to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintain radiographic equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory and manufacturer standards.
  • Assist providers with diagnostic and clinical procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory and radiology documentation within the electronic health record and other required systems.
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing, specimen collection, and diagnostic radiographic imaging in accordance with established standards and provider orders.
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory and radiology equipment while ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance.
  • Accurately document laboratory and imaging results in the electronic health record and maintain required records.
  • Maintain laboratory and radiology supplies, equipment, and inventory, including purchasing and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, radiation safety, infection control, and hazardous waste disposal requirements.
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while supporting daily clinic operations.
