About The Position

Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN (as needed) position. Shifts and days vary, including every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and one major/minor holiday per year. This role is located at Baptist Health Floyd in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills for high complexity testing, and understand the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. Responsibilities include maintaining performance records, utilizing independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards, and performing testing according to standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science from an accredited institution
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel

Nice To Haves

• Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months
