Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician PRN
About The Position
Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a PRN (work as needed) position. Shifts and days vary, including every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and one major/minor holiday per year. This role is at Baptist Health Floyd, Laboratory, located in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. In this role, you must have knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing, and have an understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. You will maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgment to generate acceptable test results within QC standards. Testing will be performed according to standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science from an accredited institution.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months.
- Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel.
