About The Position

We are seeking a qualified, dependable, and detail-oriented full-time Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to join a patient-focused medical practice. The role supports quality patient care by providing accurate and timely laboratory results. The successful candidate will hold appropriate laboratory certification, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and work independently as well as with a healthcare team. The position is located in Troy.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).
• Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, specimen handling, and quality control practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze blood, body fluids, tissue, and other specimens to identify normal and abnormal findings.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used for diagnostic testing.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and perform laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures.
• Identify microorganisms and analyze the chemical composition of bodily fluids, as applicable to assigned testing.
• Monitor tests and procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of results.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow established quality control and safety standards.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of specimens and laboratory materials.
